New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira injured his hamstring in Game 4 and is out for the remainder of the playoffs.
Teixeira severely injured his right hamstring in the fifth inning, and an MRI after the game confirmed the injury.
The Yankees believe it will take anywhere from six-to-eight weeks for the first baseman’s injury to heal.
Teixeira said he has never had a hamstring injury before but knew when it happened that it wasn’t good. (Read More…)

The New York Yankees dropped their season finale, meaning they will have to settle for a wild card berth in the American League playoffs.
That means that the Yankees will open up the divisional round against the A.L Central champion Minnesota Twins.
The Yankees have the deeper and more talented pitching staff, and they also have the better lineup.
