Jeter heads to DL
A night after immediately removed himself from the game following a groundout, New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter has been placed on the disabled list.
Jeter strained his calf while he tried to be out a groundball, and he immediately headed to the clubhouse after the play.
The injury comes at a bad time for Jeter, who is now just six more hits away from the 3,000 milestone.
The club is set to head on a roadtrip, which fueled speculation that Jeter is faking the injury so that he can record his 3,000 hit in front of the home fans. (Read More…)
